Koh Tao island, few days in paradise

After being in Siem Reap for a few days visiting the ruins of Angkor Wat in Cambodia, along with the additional surprise of bumping into Christopher (an old school friend of mine from Tenerife) who had just started working in the city, we headed to Bangkok, to catch a train from there to the island of Koh Tao.

Bangkok has been our ‘home port’ in the area and, even though it’s a big city with traffic problems and huge crowds of people everywhere you go, after a few days we had already got to know it a bit and had some favorite places.

Our train to paradise left at 6:30pm sharp. We’ve described the journey in a separate article, as we believe that it may be of help to some readers who are planning to visit Thailand.

Koh Tao is an indispensable destination for many visitors to the country, and especially for young people who are very, very eager to party, including at the Full Moon Party which is held every month on the neighboring island of Koh Samui.

Arriving in Koh Tao was a dream come true for Fábio in particular … Obviously Noah and I didn’t mind accompanying him to this wonderful, idyllic destination that he’d chosen 🙂

We spent nearly three days in the sun, enjoying the beach, the fish swimming centimeters away, an idyllic swimming pool surrounded by palm trees, beautiful sunsets, etc.
