Thalasso Bali Spa at Grand Mirage Resort is just one of the many facilities provided by the hotel that makes you realize that this is indeed a top resort in Bali.
In fact we were invited to the Thalasso Bali Spa, during our stay at the Grand Mirage Resort, and they asked if whether we wanted to take Noah for a 30-minute massage. We honestly tried to convince him, but he was more into the Kids’ Club. With Noah always being very energetic we found it hard to believe that he would trade long hours at the pool, beach, playground and Kids’ Club for a massage. I was almost imagining him saying to us: “Are you crazy? My adrenaline’s very high right now, so let’s keep it that way”. Turns out he doesn’t know what adrenaline is, but from his face we could tell that he didn’t want to relax quietly for very long … until he fall sleep… 🙂
We had to respect that, but he didn’t know what he was missing 🙂 . We were then told by our host at the Spa that some young guests really enjoy the massage and the quiet environment throughout.
For us it was different. Instead of a massage on a table we had a 1-hour aquamedic pool. Boy oh boy, how good was that …
We literally were in heaven during that short hour. The strong jets around the pool made us feel more and more relaxed. I believe that the family that was just behind us (a couple and two adolescents) was also enjoying it to the full.
Again, it was a short but totally worthwhile hour. Our stay was not long enough to enjoy more of the services at the Spa, but we are sure that the many different options for massage and therapy are worth every Rupiah charged.
We went into detail about our experience at the Thalasso Bali Spa because that was the service/activity we enjoyed the most, but the Grand Mirage Resort also offers other services and activities to guests of the hotel. Some of them are free of charge and some of them are an additional cost. “All-inclusive” guests also get some activities like kayaking included in their rate.
The most radical guests will be thrilled with the banana boat and jet skis or Seawalker, for instance. If you are fonder of quiet activities you can enjoy a kayaking session or Balinese janur weaving, for instance.
Noah also enjoyed the movie in the lower foyer of the hotel. He enjoyed it so much that I think he had 4 or 5 small bowls of popcorn … 🙂
One evening we decided to go the Bali Collection shopping mall, located in Nusa Dua. This is a very nice outdoor mall, where we had dinner on a terrace of one of the hotels. There was free shuttle provided by Bali Collection.
I could go on and on, but we didn’t have many days there to experience each and every activity and service on offer. It will have to wait for our return in the near future.
Thank you very much Stella and Citra for the invitation and for the great experience we had at the resort and the spa.
