Sunset and dinner at Jimbaran Beach

Jimbaran Beach at sunset is just one of those places you have to see in Bali. As you might expect, you can enjoy a nice dinner consisting of a variety of seafood all in one place by the sea.

Enjoying Jimbaran Beach at sunset

We got there at about 5:15pm, and had a look for a while at the choice of restaurants on offer. We decided that we just had to get ourselves a front-row table to look out to the horizon, and there we waited patiently for the sunset to finish things off nicely 🙂

Family Travel Secret
There’s a huge number of restaurants along the beachfront, the prices for which are quite high given that all the menus include lobster and similar dishes. However, quite a lot of people simply choose to walk along the shore and take photos with the stunning scenery as a backdrop.

Nonetheless, Noah didn’t really like this for too long, and so he ended up playing around in the sea. Of course he had to be very careful though, as there were a lot of waves …

When the sun had set, we left the beach for a while and saw some guys playing some music for all the customers who’d flocked around. Because we’re “latino”, they ended up singing a bit of Santana to us.

We were fortunate enough to get to spend our entire time there with an Austrian couple, Matthias and Christina, who were passing through Bali. Hopefully we’ll bump into them in the future 🙂

To sum up, Jimbaran Beach is a must see if you’re visiting Bali!

Important facts:
Eating at any of the restaurants on Jimbaran Beach will cost somewhere around a million rupees per couple (even if you only order the cheapest set menu!). You also have to pay for drinks on top of that; It costs roughly 90,000 rupees to get a taxi from Nusa Dua to Jimbaran Beach.
