Ramada Encore Bali Seminyak operated by Topotels was our home in Bali (that’s right, now any place we go on this trip is our home …), and we loved it so much that we came straight back for a second time just days after checking out.
The hotel incorporates that warmth that the locals had shown us since we arrived in Bali, and when we left the hotel it felt like we’d gained a new family. Noah, despite his sometimes moody behavior, was always tended to by the staff. When they didn’t see him around, someone would always ask: “Where’s Noah?”.
But the customer service is not the only good thing about the hotel. Everything, from the food and facilities to the rooms themselves, contributed to the overall great holiday vibe we had there. And also those are some of the reasons why this hotel is one of the best options of family accommodation in Bali.
In fact, there’s so much to talk about that we felt we should split this article into 3 parts in order to avoid overloading our readers with information. In these 3 articles, we’ll talk about the highlights of the food, the spa, and the hotel itself.
Our first room at the Ramada Encore Bali Seminyak operated by Topotels was the Deluxe Pool View Room. It was on the 3rd floor and overlooked the pool. It was a large room and it afforded us a nice amount of privacy thanks to the trees that surrounded the pool. We spent a large amount of time in this room during our first stay at the hotel.
Noah was able to watch his cartoons, and we loved to open the balcony early in the morning and get some fresh air. In fact, Noah was the one who enjoyed our stay here the most. When he got bored watching cartoons, we’d take him to the swimming pool and, when he’d spent enough time in the water, he’d then go to the Kids’ Club.
We can’t say we didn’t enjoy it either. Ruth and I enjoyed the resort so much that we only left the hotel a few times throughout our first stay. I don’t know if we should consider that a waste of time as it was the first time since Miami, where we were a few months back, that we’d stayed in one place for more than 3 nights without any kind of schedule or plan to rush around and see the various sights and attractions. It was a holiday in its purest form and, while Noah was watching his cartoons, we always took the chance to work on the blog and pictures a bit and, of course, to rest.
The room had all the amenities we’d expect from a high-quality hotel in the Ramada chain. And we had room service on a couple of nights when we wanted to be alone, rather than in the public facilities of the hotel. It was a good family time 🙂
For our second stay at the Ramada Encore Bali Seminyak operated by Topotels, we stayed also in a deluxe double room, but this time on the ground floor close to the pool, the Deluxe Pool Side Room.
It was pretty cool to be able to read poolside whilst also being secluded in our own space, and without bothering other people. The room was basically the same, but with the bonus of pool access.
Apart from those two types of room, we were also shown 4 other types at the Ramada Encore Bali Seminyak operated by Topotels:
Superior room, which is a bit smaller than the ones we stayed;
Deluxe room, and Deluxe Pool Access, with a direct access to the pool;
And the Family room, which is an apartment with kitchen, seating area and that accommodates up to 6 people.
The most important part of the hotel was, of course, the swimming pools. The pools are right in the middle of the hotel, with one pool for children and another large one that runs the whole length of the central area of the hotel.
As we mentioned before, Noah learned a bit more about how to swim in that big pool of the Ramada Encore Bali Seminyak operated by Topotels. There was a point in time when he was swimming by himself, and swam almost half the pool in one go. It was amazing for Ruth and me to see him get better in such a short space of time.
We also enjoyed the deckchairs that lined the side of the pool. It was an ideal spot to read and relax while Noah played … It was also an ideal spot for Noah and me to completely soak Ruth as she sunbathed!
The kids’ club was certainly the second best place in the hotel for Noah. It was a room full of toys, with video games (although Noah isn’t a gamer), a TV for cartoons, and an outdoor area with a toy house.
The kids’ club is located right in front of the fully equipped gym. Every time I was with Noah in the club, I’d say to myself: “Fabio, tomorrow is the day when you’ll burn some calories”. The only problem is that tomorrow never came … 🙂
From what I saw, the guests who made regular use of the gym were benefitting from it greatly 🙂
There was a nice pool table in front of the lounge. However, every time Noah said he wanted have a game with me, it was always in use.
Finally, a treat for Ruth and me: the Madhavi Spa! We both had nice treatments there, but we’ll go into more detail in a separate article.
As with our spa experience, we’ll cover the restaurant and its amazing food in yet another article so we can do it justice.
The Ramada Encore Bali Seminyak operated by Topotels has a free shuttle service which takes guests to Kuta and another one which goes to Seminyak’s main square. We used the service to go to the main square, which was where we were offered 1 week’s free accommodation there as part of a timeshare. That’s right, timeshare. We were prepared to listen to a 1-hour talk about timeshares and refuse everything, but in the end they probably looked at us and didn’t see us signing up for their expensive program. Well, I didn’t mind. We weren’t brainwashed by their ploys, and still got our free accommodation. We’re looking into using it for a trip to either India or Germany. Score!
Thanks a lot to Umu for the chance to enjoy this great family resort in Bali, and to the whole team of the Ramada Encore Bali Seminyak operated by Topotels for how kindly they treated us.
