Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach is one of the best luxury resorts in Dubai, and following our short visit to the Emirates we can confirm that from experience.
We were kindly invited to have lunch at the highly regarded seafood restaurant Sea Fu, and what a lunch it was … With contemporary, elegant cuisine, Sea Fu offers a varied menu that will satisfy the palate of any visitor.
By now, many of our readers know that I’m not the biggest fan of seafood, but on our trip we’ve had quite a few opportunities to try it and most of the time I’ve been quite happy.
But at Sea Fu this was taken to another level in terms of cuisine, location and service. Our experience was amazing and our day unforgettable.
Mr Ryan, our host at the Four Seasons who met us when we arrived, took us to Sea Fu Restaurant, which is located in front of the beach and just next to the swimming pool. As soon as we got to the restaurant we were greeted by name, meaning that they were prepared to receive us.
Unfortunately Noah wasn’t feeling too well. Having caught the flu a few days beforehand, he was still recovering so we thought it was a good idea for him to go out with us and get some fresh air, rather than being inside the hotel with air conditioning. That definitely helped to lift his spirits a bit, but not as much as the drawings that one of the waitresses gave him to color in. He loves drawing and coloring in so that kept him occupied and in a better mood.
Then we met our charismatic waiter for the day, Virgil, who was very patient and gave us some recommendations for starters and main courses.
To start off I shared the delicious Crispy Soft Shell Crab with Ruth. By the time our starter arrived, Noah’s meal had come – fried breaded fish accompanied by Jasmin rice. He chose the fish, and we picked rice for him rather than French fries so that the meal wouldn’t be too heavy.
For my main course I had a platter of Crispy Tiger Prawns, which were served in a delicious pineapple sauce.
Ruth had Seared Black Cod… amazing taste and delicious flavor.
Everything was perfectly prepared and left all three of us feeling fully satisfied. Noah didn’t finish his dish, but he ate more than we expected considering he wasn’t well. The important thing in this case was that he drank a lot of the apple juice and water we’d been offered.
After all that we didn’t give Virgil the chance to offer us dessert, as we were so full.
Our experience at Sea Fu was amazing. Dining at one of the top restaurants in Dubai, with those great views of the beach and very pleasant weather, would probably have been enough to make it a great experience at the Four Seasons Resort Dubai, but there was more. Ryan had arranged for us to have a cabin by the pool so we could enjoy the afternoon at the hotel. Noah wanted to go to the beach, so Ryan made us feel very comfortable and let us enjoy the facilities there.
Our cabin was amazing. There was a wide-screen TV, some fresh fruit, two couches, slippers, and two hammocks just in front of the cabin. On top of this there was a great view of the pool and the resort. In the end we felt so comfortable and relaxed that Noah fell asleep. He was still recovering from the cold he’d had for the previous few days, so the setting was perfect for a nap.
Just before we left, I took him to enjoy the warm pool with me for a bit.
It was late afternoon by the time we left the Four Seasons and headed to our hotel. The last F1 race of the year was in Abu Dhabi and I didn’t want to miss that.
We had a fantastic afternoon at the Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach and for that we thank Mariana and Ryan for having us.
Next stop (and the last day of our world trip): the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall!
