Our flying visit to Thailand

Krabi in Thailand was a stop-off point after our stay in Singapore and before our 2-week journey through Japan.

But it was a quick visit. We were only there for a couple of days, and it rained most of the time. We knew this was the rainy season but we took advantage of this gap anyway before going to Japan as we wanted to visit the Phi Phi islands and Maya beach.

The first day in Krabi we were supposed to go to Railay Beach, a more secluded place that we would reach by boat. Ruth and Noah went ahead of me, as I had to send some emails that were pending.

But just after half an hour Ruth called me and told me to not go as it was raining a lot. Indeed from our room’s balcony I could see the strong rain and it didn’t look like it would stop any time soon.

Since I had a lot to do for the blog I decided to “take the day off” and stay in the hotel.

Family Travel Secret
That’s one of the advantages of having an online business. What was supposed to be just a year off travelling has become our work, and every week we have a different office to work from. A world trip as a family, combined with a blog, is certainly an experience that we would recommend to anyone.

As it happened, Ruth and Noah had to take shelter somewhere for a while till the rain stopped, and eventually (after less time than we’d expected) the sky started to clear.

That was the cue that they needed to go to Railay Beach. It’s a typical beach with clear waters and fine white sand that you see in the movies: beautiful, clean and with some great views.
